Angel Swimmers/Fry

Well they are swimmers now and I actually saw them eating frozen baby brine shrimp and fry bites today.... they seem to be pretty strong and healthy so far ...I have removed a few dead ones today...but less than 10

I got a pic of about 75% of them...

anyone care to guess how many there are?

I reckon there are about 290 fry in that picture since that is 75% the total must be somewhere near 387 I divided it into squares and did a rough calculation I had intended to do just calculate one square and mulitply it but as you will see the distribution of fry is uneven, I counted on the white bit being the flash and by looking at the other squares I reckoned that about 10 fry were obscured because of this. I then counted the number in the least populated and the most populated square and estimated the rest, I added 20 for teh ones which were not in the squares (ie up the sides and right at the back). I wish I had just trusted jamnogs figure I'd say 250-350 fry in the picture because my estimations probably are not perfect If you take the midpoint of that (300) divide by 75 and X 100 the total number of fry is probably around 400

I had never realized angelfish were born as tiny as guppies. Do they even look like angelfish when they are born (I mean the shape)?? This is so interesting!!!.........Mama keep up the good hard work. I am sure you are very proud.

I am hoping, at least in this next generation, to be as lucky has you have mama in raising angelfish fry. I am so attached to the ones that I have now. They are a part of the family and so much fun to watch with each having their own personality.

Angel fry are even smaller than my newborn guppies, I may just have big guppies though!
8) I have to get the magnifing glass out just to see if they are actually eating! 8)

It will be a while before they get their "angelfish" shape.....
can't remember how long....I think 2-4 weeks....
they basicly look just like baby guppies right now, but cute!!!

I will keep taking pics of them as they grow...
I need to get the cam instructions out and learn how to use it better!

yes.....and only about 1/3 to 1/2 made it this far.
I have read angels can spawns up to 1200 eggs.....
I guessed that this pair had anywhere between 800-1000 eggs give or take a couple hundred
