Angel Fish

Hi guys,

Here are my two angelfish, they're getting pretty big now. I have no idea what sex they are (I hear there's no way to know) but they get on really well

lovely fish. i have a koi similar to the one on the left. you can sex them as they get bigger, the female has a rounded belly and the male is bigger with a hump to the forehead and a more pinched look to the belly. sometimes you can see the breeding tubes and the female is short and blunt and the male is longer and tapered.

i had 2 angels the exact same colours as ure to but my one like the one on the right died recently so now my koi one is all alone

but ures look great how big are they??

The koi is ever so slightly larger. He's at least 2.5 inches across the body and about 5 inches in height including fins. I bought him at about an inch or so across I think and we've had him for about 8 months.

I can see that there is a neon tetra swimming past the photo, how are ur big daddy angels gettin along with the little guys?

So far they have left the neons + other small fish well alone. However, they did grow much more rapidly than I anticipated. I have always wanted dwarf cichlids so i'm rehoming the small fish to some friends with a large tank before the angels begin eying them up for meal times. Then i will get some dwarfs (after i've built some caves!)
