hi all

i no this may b a stupid question but would a pair of 2in angel fish b ok in a 10gallon till they get to big???

thanx

I would say no. Being in such a small tank would likely stunt their growth and be bad for their overall health. 10g tanks are too small for angels.

Way too small. They get to 4-6", and since they are tall fish, their fins will scrape against teh bottom and get damaged. Not to mention the waste and the lack of room.

I believe the suggested size is 30 gallons for one pair of angelfish.

Sorry. :/

Actually, I purchased 3 very small angelfish (little smaller than quarter size) to put in my 10 gallon until I thought they could go into my 33 gallon. I cant remember why I didn't put them in the 33 gallon in the first place, but after about 2 weeks I figured they could go in, so I put them in my 33 gallon. I've never had any growth problems with them or anything. But, you better have a bigger tank ready to start cycling before you even think about buying angelfish!
