Angel Fish

hello just need some help .Ihave two pairs of angels breeding .They keep on eating the eggs after a few days i have breed fish before and they never eat the eggs or young .Why are they doing it could someone tell me please .

What size tank are the pairs in, what if any tankmates, and what do you have for decorations? Angels are usually not parent raisers, due to the breeding behind the various color morphs & fin configurations. I have 8 or 9 pairs, none of them are parent raisers, and none of the pairs I've had in the past were.

If they are eating them right after spawning, light the tank with room light only, and limit commotion around the tank. You can also try putting background material on the sides & part of the front of the tank.

thanks for your help .Ihave a 6ft by 2ft by 2ft tank their is angels barbs silver dollars rainbows red lined barbs the angels are fully grown they both pairs have both ends of the tank they have slat bogwood plants and many more things to lay on .iwill have to try the light like you said the sides and back have background on . they are graet fish and be made up if i could get babys off them .a.re they hard to get babys off them would i have to get a breeding tank for them and do it properly to get fty off them
