Angel Fish Spawning

i have a question concerning my spawning angels
they spawned in the middle of the day, so i watched them for 5 hours
and they seemed to be very loveing parents this time and they werent eating the
eggs but then in the morning the next day the eggs were all gone
what happened? this is a community tank

After a few hours (12 to 24) the fish can start to tell whether the eggs are fertile or not. If not - they will eat them.

This happens a few times until they both get parenthood right.

mine ate their eggs as soon as the light went off - might be that?
