I have a year old angel fish in a planted 36 gallon tank with a couple neons, white clouds, a small ghost knife, and Synodontis Eupterus Catfish. I just came home from a week long vacation to find him stuck in a small crevice I had provided for the ghost knife.
His symptoms include:
Clouded over eye
Trouble eating at first
Odd greenish gold coloration were it should be just black, weird coloration in general
Slightly frayed fins

I got my water checked a week ago when I bought the ghost knife can't remember them exactly but the nitrate levels were a little bit high. Nothing else was weird.
I would like some advice before I do something stupid.

Can you post your water stats please in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Cloudy eye is a symptom of a disease. Not a disease in it's own right.
Bad water quality.
Stress.
Old age.
Irratation.
Poor diet.
Parasites.
Bacerial infection.

Does the fish act lethargic and listless?
Does the fish show signs of being restless.
Resting for long period of time.
Heavy breathing..
Darting around the tank.
Showing signs of odd behavour.

His eye cleared up but now the left side of his body is white and he is missing part of his side fin. Along with his back fin having a clear milky whitish tint on the very edge (fin rot???) He's acting normal and eating well. I did a middle range water change (30%), and am planning to do a larger one this weekend. Currently I do not have a water testing kit and will have to go to the fish store this weekend to get it tested. I will try and post an updated pic.

Can you isolate him to a hospital tank and use Maracyn.

Again finrot usually occurs as a result of a disease or an infection rather than being an infection in it's own right.

As Wilder says, if possible isolation would be best,  I'd keep lighting to a minimum as well as this can help reduce stress.

I raised the temp of the tank and put in half a dose of tea leaf extract (wich I have use to cure ick in the past), Angel seems to have recovored but now a ghost kniffe that was a new addition has been getting sucked into the intake on my HOB filter, have had him 2 weeks no problem until now, no signs of infection. I have a ten gallon I can use as a medical tank but dont want to kill my fish due to shock. Will get water tested this weekend.
