Hi All,

I have 2 Angel fish and when i bought them they were bout about and inch big. Now the White angel is about 1 1/2 inch now but the other one is about 3 inch  Is there a reason one is not growin much and the other is?

They are both greedy and each eat as much as the other. The bigger one is alot more active, he will follow me where ever i am in the room. ( the comps next to the left side of the tank and when im sitting here he is at the top about a foot away... lol hes looking at me right now. if im on the other side hes there too)

Guessing they are from the same spawn one could just be more dominant. My apisto fry were hugely different sizes, one could be about 1 inch long, and his brothers were about half his size. Infact a year since they were born they are still catching up.

what kind of angelfish are they? Looking at angelfish genetics angelfish with double dose of the parents traits will be "runt" and grow slower than the single dose siblings that inheritated another trait from generations past not nessicarily a visible trait. If they are black, or marbles, smokeys ext, the slower growing fish will be of a more darker nature, while the faster growing ones will be of a lighter color(more grey-ish), the only angelfish variety you cannot tell the difference between when they are the two groups of slow and nonslow growing at wild type angelfish, so what I mean is both groups look the same if they are wild type(of single dose and double dose). Hope that helps some.
