Well i have a pair of albino kribs and they are in a 20g tank 2 mollies, 3 swords, a school of wild minnows, a golly, a flower pot, a pvc pipe, and a amazon sword plant, and like 5 grass like plants that havent grown in yet. I barely ever have deaths and i have seen my kribs attack anytihng or show the least bit aggression.
None of your fish are bottom dwellers.

Ohh yeah, i also have 6 ghost shrimp, and not one fatality. And ghost shrimps are bottom dwellers for the most part.

alright then i keep two loaches with mine and ive also kept them with rams(bolivian) b4 never had deaths theyve never spawned but have always got lovely pink bellies and a couple a times amonth the female gets egg laden but never any violence

the only bottom dwelling fish i have is a pleco and he like 20cm so dont think they will be able to get to him.
what bout something like the panda dwarf cichlid ( Apistogramma nijsseni) or the Agassizis dwarf cichlid ( Apistogramma Asassizzii)? the other i saw was i think the common name was the strawberry dwarf cichlid (Apistogramma Eremnopyge) are these widely available? epsecialy in Aus? i think its about 60g 4ftx2ftx2ft? and poopsydroo i was not egnoring you post. And Straydum, i have always had trouble keeping angels in groups, wether it b to or more, so i now keep them singely and have had no problems.

I don't know what to say. Your positive experience doesn't negate my negative one. Maybe I'm wrong and kribs aren't aggressive when spawning or maybe you've just been lucky. I was just trying to offer a heads up about keeping another species of territorial fish when there is already a species of territorial fish in the tank.

ok well im not gonna worry about adding anything atm, as of yesterday afternoon my male cockatoo isnt looking to well. he just sits on the bootm, his body colour has lightend and he doesnt seem to be closing his mouth properly, and i havnt seen him eat, he does occasionaly swim around but not much, does anyone one have ne idea what is wrong with him? is it possible the bigger female is picking on him?

Thanx in Advance, Vamp.

Check and make sure something hasn't been caught in his mouth.

there doesnt seem to be anything in his mouth, but his chin/throat seems to be very puffy. unfortunantly i was saprised he survived the night  :-( poor thing isnt looking to well at all, all other fish are fine.

My bf just went down to lfs and spoke to malcom, he thinks it mite be gill parasite or a gill infection  so i am taking a water sample in on the wkend. are the gill parasites contagouse to other fish?

ok thanx,
neways he was fine, think the female might have got a little agressive with him. he is swimming around garding his girls like he usualy does, colourse back, everythings normal.
