Nearly all fish love bloodworms, it is important to feed them sparingly though. Angels are pigs, & will eat until bloated. Bloodworms, being high in protein, will lead to constipation & bloat. I wouldn't feed them bloodworms more than a few times a week. If you want to feed them everyday, keep some epsom salt handy, it works wonders for constipation. Feed brine shrimp daily as well, the roughage from them helps keep the intestines clean.

There must be around 2 - 3 hundred eggs, the white female is guarding them and cleaning them. :D

Im not sure why durkbat said about having bloodworm problems?

So if the eggs were laid on sunday eve around 7pm what day should i expect them to hatch?

Because of what Tolak just said about how they are greedy and will eat till bolated and that bloodworms lead to constipation. ;)

Theres about 9 eggs turned white, i left the parents with the eggs hoping they would eat any ones that DID turn white. Also the female keeps chasing away the male. He wants to looks after the eggs also but she wont have any of it. :X
Im planning on removing both parents tomorrow, and have a go at rearing them myself. B)

So you don't trust the parent to watch them anymore? How are they suppost to gain your trust if you don't let them raise there own kids.

Sometimes its neccesary to remove the eggs or the parents because they will eat all of the eggs. I know a member on this forum that had to remove all of his angel eggs because they would eat them after a couple days. They are doing very well now. I know you were probably joking around though Durbkat.

Im thinking of moving the male now as the female just keeps charging him, he's not a happy fishy.

How come the females not eating the few white eggs that have appeared?

They aren't eating the infertile eggs because they are a new pair, inexperienced. It's usally better to pull the spawn & hatch it in a different tank, as you can treat the spawn with anti-fungals in a way that will be fine for eggs, bad for swimming fish.

well its happend, 90% off the eggs have turned white. Im totaly gutted, i think the rest will turn white also. :(

so will they spawn again? in how many weeks? it would of been difficult to remove the eggs as they were laid on the large box style filter which is glued to the glass. how would of been the best way to remove them .

I think you could have used a turkey baster and got one out at a time but you have to make sure they stay in water while transferring from tank to tank. (Tolak, correct me if I'm wrong about the turkey baster)

when i came home from work all the eggs had been eaten. so will they spawn again in 3 - 4 weeks if i keep them in condition?

im jus curious.

what are you gonna do with 200+ angel fish?

my female from the first spawn i talked about in this thread died after they spawned :-( . she was never happy after the eggs were gone.

i rescued a tank from a friend tho and moved a lonely angel from that to my big tank and 3 weeks later they paired up and spawned.

corner of the tank this time.

ive got spare tanks but i dont think i want all you have to do to raise them right now lol.
