I have 2 gold angel fish given to me by a friend one is 4 inches in width and the other 3inches. Anyway for the last couple of days the bigger one has been constantly picking on the smaller one even lip locking it the smaller one tries to hid from it but the bigger one will not leave it alone. It has even give the small one 2 bruises on its body. Should i get rid of the bigger one and keep the smaller one on its own. I have to constantly keep an eye on them cos i feel that the big one is going to kill the smaller one. Any advice would be helpfull thanks

I would keep a divider of some sort handy, just in case it gets way out of hand. If they are spending any amount of time together without fighting it is pairing behavior. If not, it's a territorial issue.

If it is pairing, just keep a close eye on them, some pairs do pound on each other pretty severely. If not, you can try removing the more aggressive angel, and rearranging the tank to remove the old territories. Let the more passive fish settle in for an hour or so after rearranging, then put the more aggresive fish back in. A large bucket with an airstone works good for an hour of "time out" for the more aggressive fish.

What size tank do you have them in? Sometimes adding more angels to the tank helps spread the aggression.
