 my neighbors angel fish laid eggs on the filter tube, we were wondering if any one knows anything about raising baby angels???? how long do the eggs need to incubate?? and when they hatch how do we take care of them???

Tank bred angels will spawn virtually anything lol!

The angels will almost always eat their eggs or wrigglers so remove the angels

lol not much help really soz

he separated the eggs already they are safe, will the angels eat the fry when they hatch???

I really don't know much about breeding angels. I've looked it up a few times and found some really good sites on the subject though. Sorry I'm not any help.

Yeah, if you do a google search for breeding angelfish, you'll get some good hits. I know I found a bunch when I was hoping mine would spawn, but I lost all the links in a hard drive crash :X

The parents will probably eat the fry if reintroduced into the tank. As long as your water has a lower ph, around 6.5, the eggs should hatch without any anti-fungals added.

If your ph is higher, you need to add an anti-fungal, such as methelyne blue. It will take a couple of days for them to become wigglers, and a few more before they are free swimming. Keep the temp at 80F, and once they are swimmers, feed fresh hatched baby brine shrimp. 50% water changes daily, along with keeping them in a bare bottomed tank reduces bacteria. Wipe the bottom of the tank daily with a paper towel. Cleanliness is a big thing the first couple of weeks.
