My 2 angel fish have obviously layed some eggs but they're on the top of the heater on the little ball (nice and warm, not warm enough to cook them thankfully) but when they start hatching we need to separate them from their parents, but as they're on the heater and not a plant we won't be able to do it very easily, anyone any ideas?

By the way it's the first time they've layed, will they do it again? Because if these don't survive, they might lay them on the plants next time if we're lucky.

Do you think they'll survive, as well?

they're sort of see through grey, i know that white means infertile, and yes it's a community tank, so how shall i 'save' them when they hatch?

Buy another heater, it's good to have a spare on hand. They always seem to go out when there isn't anyplace open.

doesn't matter anymore .... :( they've all disappeared, fallen off maybe, if not i dont know where they could have gone, wouldn't you see them floating around? I don't know. do they usually breed again?

if they have laid once they should lay lots more :) usually within 10-21 days hope all goes well for you

they've laid again and they laid them on a piece of slate stuff, theyve managed to live so far and are wigglers now, they're in the hatchery and there must be about 30, how many do you think'll survive?

and how much are breeding pairs of silver and gold, just out of interest?

depends on how you keep them. did you remove the parents?

if your area is in demand for angels, $20? i'm not to sure how things work there

THEY'VE DISAPPEARED!!!! HOW??? The were wigglers, now they're gone?? Do snails eat them? Could they have crawled in and eaten them all, they were pretty small (the wigglers)?  :(

it is possible but i highly doubt it. do take note that the parents will move their fry from time to time

no they were in the hatchery, the parents were keeping guard but not able to touch them

by a hatchery i guess you mean a breeding net/trap or a separate tank?
