angel finrot

so my angel's fins have been getting eaten by some type of bacteria i guess. ive been treating him with melafix and its the 6th day today but i dont see any improvements or even stopping the fins from getting eaten away.

they fins arent shredded, but they are more evenly eaten away, in a ragged way.

its more like this...

what can i do?

Not positive on this, but isn't Melafix mainly to help the fins regrow once the finrot has been treated? I know it has a mild anti-bacterial in it, but if you still haven't seen any improvement, I would go & get some actual finrot medication - fungal if there's white or bacterial otherwise, I think it is. I know I'm not expert or anything but you sound kinda desperate...hopefully someone more experienced will be along soon to either confirm my thoughts or to rip me apart & give you some proper advice.....either way - goodluck

I recommend treating him with an additional medication specifically for fin rot as well. As it was said before me - Melafix can help with fin rot but it's mainly to help heal the damage

AS stated above melafix is like a tonic used after you stop the fin rot. You need to get some meds for the finrot and get it in the tank qquickly. HTH
