Bored into leaving
Not long ago I was messing around trying to spot feed the "feather duster" we had, when the shrimps decided it was time I had a clean:
One of the sump showing some tiny starfish cruising around in there:
And now the different animals: Starting with the old urchin, including a good one of his 5 teeth:
The dragonet:
The anemonefish
The fire dartfish:
The worm:
The new bloodshrimp
The Emerald Crab hiding away:
The Zooanthids
The Toadstool soft coral
Some groovy shots of the snails growing a fair amount of hair algae that is starting to look like hair...
The hermits
And how could I leave out the frogfish?
Well I was already buying a pair of skimmers today, so surely I should grab some more inverts, non?
First up is a type of Xenia (not the pulsing one, will get some of that in the next week or so). Hasn't really come out yet, but I got a pic of one or two polyps out so you can get the idea.
And a shot of the older toadstool, which is doing nicely now
I also picked up a frag of some SPS (I forget which type, will research at a later date) looks nice and should end up a nice blue tone.
And from above
The Zoos are doing well now, and I hope they will start to spread onto nearby rocks before long.
Then there is quite possibly my favorite addition of the day, a Tridacna derasa or derasa clam.
Here is some interesting growth of macro algae from the live rock
And when checking on the tank a little later, I noticed something rather humorous, an urchin had decided to take a hermit for a ride on his back.
