I have heard that they swallowed tiny magnets and are forced to swim like that, if you look at their fins you can see they are barely moving as the fish are "swimming".

But I agree that fish aren't stupid

i agree it doesnt look quite real but theres one point when the formation kinda goes a bit wrong and if they were on magnets then that wouldnt happen.

hrmmm, magnets, seems like they couldnve use that. they are swimming awfully low to the bottom of the tank, and im pretty sure that goldfish cant be taught to do tricks like that.
