I'm trying to get two of my anubias to anchor themselves onto some river rocks, but I'm having issues because they already have some pretty full roots, one in particular has very tangled crazy long roots. My smallest of the three seems to be doing well, but it's hard to tell. I ad the anubias planted under the sand for a good while, but after being advised to anchor them, I went ahead and gave it a go.

I have them all tied down with some fishing wire, but I'm not sure what to expect now. I have some pictures of them here:

The first picture is my newest anubias, it was never under the surface, I anchored it to the rock as soon as I got it, so I'm not so worried about that one in particular.

The second picture is the one I am most concerned about, it was planted under the substrate before I even got it, and its roots are long and incredibly tangled, I'm not sure what to do with it.

The third picture is my smallest anubias, it seems to be anchoring to the rock, but I can't say for sure. I'm not really sure what to be looking for in any regards.

Any course of action I should be taking, here? Are the rocks I have even anchorable for them? Any further advice and suggestions appreciated. Thanks much.

they look ok to me i dont think they will come unanchored once attached :good:

Should I do anything in regards to them? Just let them grow out more, I guess?

let them grow. you could trim the longer roots back a little so they send off more branches up the root. keeps them all in one place (i do it with mine but i keep it off the substrate and i don't want a massive root system under it)
