I have yet to get my diy CO2 apparatus to produce any bubbles, but I have this anachris for about 2 weeks and it has grown a few inches and has reached the surface, how should I prune this plant?

just cut off the stems that grow off of the main one (if any) and plant them!

from my experience if they are at least 2 to 3 inches tall they will grow into monsters (just really tall)

I have also found from experience that when you do cut them, dont cut where there isnt a split stem because you will have an ugly looking stump. Just cut right above a splitter.

good luck - anachris's are my fav so far!

None of my anachris have splits, they're all just one main stem with tons of leave, as for the CO2, its been about 5 days since I hooked it up to the tank, no bubbles as of yet

Sounds like you got ahold of yeast that has been killed. I would start over, I don't do anything fancy, I use a funnel and scoop 2 cups of sugar, 1tsp of yeast and use luke warm water. I cap the bottle, then shake it up. If you want to be sure it is starting to ferment, squeeze the bottle then screw the cap on, go watch tv and soon you will hear the plastic bottle crackling, that means it is producing gas and the bottle is expanding.

I usually get good bubbles within 2 hours of mixing my batch. If you use hot water, you will kill the yeast, if the bottle is in too cold of an area, it wont ferment. Room temp works fine-my house thermostadt is set at 68 degrees, fairly cool.

Lol I was supposed to mix in water? I didn't know that, I just put in the sugar and yeast, I am a moron when it comes to food products. Although there is no way the room temp will ever be above 64 degrees F, and its probably lower than that right now

I have my diy C02 in the basement and what I do is wrap a blanket or sock around the bottle to keep it warm. Some people place the bottle in a bucket with water and add a heater to keep it warm.
