I've caved in and finaly brought, I can't belive I've done it, 5 neon tetras.
There I've said it.

Anyway I lost most of my lampeye panchax a few weeks ago.
leaving me just one. s/he has looked very sad and kept to it's self.
I added the neons and s/he has immediatly joined the school and so has my one diamond head tetra that I had left, due to the others getting killed by my filter :(.

So there we go a school of 1 diamond head tetra, 1 lampeye panchax and 5 neon tetras. A very odd school indeed.

Any port in a storm.

When we cleared our community tank of guppies to give them away we thought we'd got them all.

A couple of days later we found we'd missed one and the poor lonely thing was trying to school with the rummynose tetras.

I see where you are comming from there
but the thing is in the same (4ft) tank there are
WCMM's and 6 dwarf danios. neither fish went anywhere near
their schools.
I think the panchax has mistaken the neon blue to be very large eyes of its own kind and joined them in hopes of..... nudge nudge wink wink.
