How can I convince a family friend that her betta bowl (the wall mount one) is
1. Too Small
2. She cannot have male and female in same tank (she already had 3 males get killed by the female <--yes the female)
3. Needs a heater

I have already told her that the male and female cannot be put togehter and she is stubborn to say that it's fine because she had a male and female live together before for 2 months.
I also told her that they are probably dying cause the tank is too small and 2 fish cannot be put into it
Bubble tank

Also she has no heater and everytime I go over there (which isn't much) the house is cold.

I tried everything...
is there any other suggestions???

bighammerfan is right some people will not be told. Poor fish though, she really has two fish in that tank thats shocking!

Get her a nice big tank for her birthday!

Wrap the admonishment with a bow.

Lmao

I was thinking about getting her a bigger tank, but just imagining what she would put in it. or just a big enough 5 gal betta bowl with a heater and small filter and say for 1 betta only!!!!

I don't know why she is doing this now. She did have 2 that I remember in a 2gal bowls (seperate bowls) and one lasted 3 1/2 and the other nearly 5 years. Now she can't even keep these in the same conditions, probably cause she moved into a smaller place...or the divorce.

That's really awful - you'd think she'd have learned already that you can't have males and females together when she lost 3 boys over it.

Is there any way you could convince her to part with them? Mabe you could look after them for her and tell her she can come see them if she wants. Doesn't sound like she gives them much attention anyway - unless she sits there and enjoys watching them rip each other to pieces *glares at this person across the net*

And i'm sorry, but a divorce is no reason to abuse her poor fish like this - animals depend on us to look after them and she is abusing her bettas.

Man, it's a good job i'm saying this all online, otherwise you'd be able to hear me cursing my house down :p
