Hello,
I just started fish keeping and i am very invested in it. Yesterday I was looking at my betta and he seemed a little bloated but not really. I am not sure. I tried looking for pictures online to fit his current stated but everything seems so exagerated.
I don't think he is constipated because when I returned home from school today I saw a new betta poop. However it seemed smaller than before.

I will attach photos i took of him seconds ago. Can you help me and guide me on what to do next?

(p.s i just got him and he already had that white spot but now it seems to be coming off?)

welcome!
How big is the tank? What are the water parameters?(ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)
is the tank cycled?
also, no video is attached.

Welcome to TFF! Just a fewww questions...
What temperature is your tank? Does it have a filter? Does it have a heater? What food brand do you use? How often do you feed your Betta? How much?

ooooff. I'm sorry to tell you this but that tank is way too small for a betta. You should get tank at least 5 gallons. I would recommend something closer to 10g.

Definitely work on getting a test kit asap.

it has a filter but no heater. I actually live in a tropical country and my local shop did not want to sell me a heater saying that the weather was so hot that it was not required. But i am looking for one because i read everywhere that bettas need one.
for the food i use tropical flakes that my father bought and its from a brand named siso. I feed him twice a day like a small pinch per feeding

to attach a video first upload it to youtube than either give us the link to the video or add it using the media option in the tool bar

This tank is way too small for a betta!! You'll need to get a bigger one asap. As long as you live in a tropical country, a heater is not needed. Also, how long has your tank been running? If it's more than a few months, then its most probably cycled, so you'll just need to transfer the old filter to the new, bigger tank. Test kits are also important, but firstly get a bigger tank.

i did it! i inserted some pictures
i kind of looks like a bacterial infection. i would wait before treating it for someone more experienced than me to reply. when was the last time you changed the water? Do you treat the water with dechlorination?

yeah i know i need a bigger tank but i can't really right now they are so expensive here and as my father bought that tank for me in january he would not buy a new one for me just 2 months in. I don't really understand the cycle thing. My tank ran since mid january but the water was changed before i got the betta

How is your tap water treated to make it safe to drink? Most places add either chlorine or chloramine. Both of these harm fish and stop the beneficial bacteria growing.
Chlorine will gas out if tap water is left to stand for a few days but chloramine does not gas out so we need to use a water conditioner which splits chloramine into chlorine and ammonia then removes the chlorine part.

Cycling is the process of growing good bacteria.
Fish excrete ammonia but it is toxic to fish. In a cycled tank there are bacteria which eat this ammonia and turn it into nitrite. Unfortunately nitrite is also toxic, but in a cycled tank more bacteria eat nitrite and turn it into nitrate.
A new tank does not have any of these bacteria so we need to grow them and this takes several weeks. We add ammonia from a bottle to feed the very few bacteria in the water so they grow a lot more. If this is not done, just running the tank does nothing to grow the bacteria. Then when fish are put in the tank, ammonia builds up in the water until the bacteria start to grow and ammonia finally drops but at the same time nitrite builds up in the water until enough nitrite eaters grow to drop the level to zero.

In a small tank like 5 litres, ammonia and then nitrite will get high very quickly. The way to keep the fish safe until the bacteria have grown is by doing water changes, and without a test kit you need to change as much water as possible every day. Leave just enough water so the fish can stay upright.

I cant see the photos...
