Well, I'm down to two options here, learning towards getting a single Angelfish with my 6 mollies (55 gallon) but I also like the black/white skirt tetras. I don't want to have all three in there as I'd like the tank to be slightly understocked. Any thoughts? :nerd:

You could add both, and still be majorly understocked. But i would go with the angel. But you might want to get some kind of tetra, or else the tnak dosent look as full.

If I were to get both, how many skirt tetras could I have? I thought a small school of 4-5 would be good. Also, would it be ok to add the Angel last or would the tetras see it as the angel invading their territory?

I would think the angel should be ok although he may get his fins nipped a little. Some people believe that angels should be kept in small groups though. I have two this now but they are breeding. The only other problem you might find is that you have less fry kicking around unless you are able to catch it early on as the angels for sure will eat it up all up!

Goodluck with whatever you decide.

I have a lone angel, i tried to pair him/her up, but he always beat's the crap out of everyone!!!!!! I have never had anthing pick on a large angel, but i ahd skirt tetra's pick on my baby angel and try to eat his/her fin's. I would go witha group of 7-8 for tetra's. I have a group of 5, but the more, the merrier and prettier!
