Hi all! I have two betta boys that just got new tank upgrades today.
I currently have four male bettas total, two veiltails, one crowntail and one halfmoon. The crowntail, Jasper, and the halfmoon, Amun, are the two that got the upgrades.
Amun moved from an acrylic 6 gallon flat-back hex tank to a glass 10gal tank. All his Egyptian-themed decorations and the custom background my friend and I drew for him moved with him. Unfortunately, the cool play sand/metallic gold sand mix that was the substrate in his 6gal FBH was not usable in the 10gal (it lost all its shine), so he got leftover brown gravel from when I redid my other 10gal (which is divided in half for my two veiltails). Anyway, here's Amun's tank (sorry, kinda "meh" daylight pic...will get better ones tonight)...
I will also get a pic of Amun himself tonight. I had pics of him in my old Photobucket account, but I can't access that account and they were cell phone photos (and I don't have the cell phone that took them anymore). Amun is a purple/red halfmoon (purple body with red fins) who USED to be a butterfly, but his white turned to black. lol
Jasper moved from a 5 gallon bowfront tank to a long 9gal steel-rimmed tank I got at Goodwill for $1! None of his plants moved with him (having issues with the filter in that tank and he was only in there temporarily anyway), but he did get a nice new sword plant. His tank is decorated with a Grecian theme (using decorations and black gravel/red Flourite substrate I pirated out of my 18gal tall that is about to be torn down and sold anyway). So, here's Jasper's tank, along with a couple pics of Jasper himself...
Jasper's tank needs a black background on it, but I was also thinking of maybe drawing a custom background for it (similar to what I did with Amun's tank)...thoughts?
