I need to buy more sand for the new tank I am getting next week, and I'm wondering how much I would need for a 90 gallon. I think I used a full 50 lb bag for my 35g, but I think I used too much. It's really thick in some spots, and I don't want a huge buildup of gases in the sand.

Thanks

Thats an awesome calcultor! I was thinking 100 pounds, and i was bang on. The only thing I'm not liking is it says I need 400 watts of light on it. I'll be lucky if I get 2 wpg.

On the plus side, it's only going to cost me 17 CAD for the sand!

is that sand pure white, or are there little black flecks in there as well? I bought pool filter sand from the pool shop near my place, and it has little black grains of sand. not many, but enough to notice. I don't mind it, but would prefer if it were pure white.

I'm glad it is of some use :)
I've decided to put a direct link in my sig for tankmaster
