Amount Of Current

I have a 130litre tank which is currently fishless cycling. when i put flake food in to help the bacteria, i found that it was going around the tank in large circles. i was wondering whether the filter pump is too powerfull of whether it is ment to do this.

I have just Googled it and it appears to be for tanks up to 130l, so no problem there. I am sure the food will find its way to the bottom. Plenty of fish like to mess around in a water current.

EDIT: Well done for fishless cycling. You obviously did a bit of reading before taking the plunge.
