I was wondering about any experiences with a constant amonia meter? I have one in my tank (brand Mardel...says Live NH3 meter). When I put it in, it stayed at zero for a couple weeks. Then I left for a 4 day trip and came back to it in the "caution" range. I did several water changes and a Jungle amonia reducing drop-in tab. (Assumed my sitter over-fed the fish) Still stayed on "caution" range, althougth the color lightened a bit, but definitely did not get back to zero. After a couple more water changes, I decided to change the insert and it is now reading "zero" again...since yesterday afternoon. I know the inserts are only supposed to last 4-6 weeks, but it had been only 2-3 weeks. Does anyone know if they stay reading at increased levels once they go there?
Thanks
