Hey,

I was wondering how many approx ml of ammonia I would need to get to 5ppm for my 29 gallon as my ammonia bottle does not come out as drops so i have no idea how much to put in and i am nearly out of ammonia test kit.

Thanks in advance, orange shark

Get yourself a medicine dropper.
For our 28gal tank.. it takes about 60-70 drops from the dropper I use to get a 4-5 reading. Don't know how strong the ammonia we have is though off the top of my head so it will most likely be different for you.

I'm a little confused.... are you doing a fishless cycle? Is that what you need the ammonia for?

yes (plain n simple lol)

It depends on the concentration of the ammonia but generally, 1 ml will raise 5 gallon to about 5 ppm so, taking into consideration the space taken up by substrate and decorations, you would probably need about 5ml which just happens to be the fill line on the API test tubes.

I'll add 5ml when the last batch of ammonia is gone! (guessed how much i needed lol)
