Hi,
I recently replaced my carbon by ceramic beads in my filter since I was told that carbon was eating up all the iron and such I was putting in to grow the plants. I figured that the bacterias in the sponge would do the trick. To my surprise 3 days after I come home to find that one of my danios had kicked the bucket
I tested water to get 0 nitrites but 0.6mg/L of ammonia. What can I do? Should I just keep my eye open on ammonia levels and do regular water changes until my ammonia drops back? I don't want to have suffering fishes (or dying ones for that matter)
