I have just done my regular water test and have had a 0.25 ppm on my ammonia test. All my other readings are fine.I have carried out a 50% water change.
I just wondered if there is anything else i could do?
I will test again tomorrow to see if there is an improvement. :shout:

The tank as been fully cycled since October. The ammonia readings have always been 0ppm. I don't beleive i have been overfeeding.I do a weekly water water change. I will carry out another test tomorrow and hope this is back to normal.

Test daily and water changes accordingly. Also make certain your filters are running well. You are having an ammonia spike and hopefully just a temporary thing. If back to normal I would test daily for a week to make certain.

I would test your water source and see if thats were the ammonia is coming from. Also are there any fish missing? A dead fish will cause an ammonia spike.

I have just carried out another water test and the ammonia reading is back to zero. I will do daily checks for the foreseeable future and carry out another water test tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!!

Have a look at this - http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/346799-ammonia-levels/. I had the same prob.
