anything above 0.25 is considered dangerous to the fish and can cause permanent damage. If I were you I would do a small water change to bring it down a little.

Hi thanks for replying

i did a water change yesterday at least 25%, u think i should do a another small one???

just let u know that the water change was good progress and ammonia reads 0.05 now, so tomorrow do another water change hoping it be down to 0

thanks again for advice..

That's ok. just do a change whenever it gets above .25. hopefully your filter will be able to cope on its own soon. Just try not to over feed the fish as rotting food can also cause ammonia and don't forget the weekly water changes and gravel vac.
