Ammonia In My Tap Water

well as the title says i thought i would test the tap water today to check the ph and i found that my tap water has 0.50ppm of ammonia in it am i harming my fish when i do water changes with this water and is there anything i can do to remove it before i add the water

adding dechlorinator usually does the trick imo. it removes bad things in the water. not sure if that means ammonia aswell though?

i tested the water after the dechlorinator had been added if that makes a difference
