i seen at my lfs ammonia filter cartridges...in place of carbon cartridges

what does this do or what are htese for?

does it remove ammonia completely?

wouldnt this prevent the bacteria from having food to eat?

could or should it be used on a newly uncycled tank?

Never used them so don't no, but be careful sometimes they are just after your money.

I don't know a lot about it but I think that stuff will contain the ammonia. Preventing the bacteria from eating it. Look into ammo lock. There is a discussion going on right now as to whether ammo lock prevents bacteria from eating the ammonia but in my personal opinion (which doesn't mean much) it doesn't. so look into it and let us knkow.
