I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but think about what youre putting in the water if you snorkel in it. Prohibiting you wash your hair, flakes of shampoo along with hair would get in the water and think of dead skin cell particles! Maybe I'm just paranoid, but whatever...

I'd been thinking the same thing..

But you don't need to snorkel.. though it'd probably make cleaning the algae a lot easier!

I think there's one that you could.. there's a 1500 gallon tank at my local Big Al's, with some sort of shark and a moray eel. But that makes me think SW cos of the eel.

If those two take up 1500g, you could probably put that one shark in and only that one shark.
Not positive though.. I'd have to check around first.

Ok I agree not a good idea to swim with your fish. But I'm getting from this person they aren't what you'd call main stream. With a tank that cost that much they prob. figure they can afford to go buy more fish, that or they have a sonic uv light cleaner thingy like you use for your googles in science lab in High school that they get into first.(sorry if the no longer call it a thingy its been abit since High school).

I also would do a community tank but I start my day counting all my fish to make sure they are all there. I'm not sure I could devote my time in that way. So.... maybe I'll just go with the baby whale suggestion of previous posts.

Really cool tank wonder what they are working on if that isn't big enough ??? Someone should write them and tell them to keep us in the loop.

...I guess with a tank that big you don't worry about your weekly water bills (a 500 gallon holding tank for water changes?)..and..someone ELSE probably does your tank maintenance. SH
