I'm wanting to do something similar to what George and Sam have done in their nano's, but i'm wanting to do it to a 30"x15"x12" tank. My brother said today that I should follow some sort of theme, and he said why not try malawi, but I thought I like planted tanks better. I deffinately prefer amano tanks to any others, using only 2-3 plant species, and covering the foreground. I was wondering what plants you would recommend for this type of setup? It's under 1WPG (I can actually grow riccia under this, but it doesn't pearl), and i'm not dosing Co2 but could easily make a DIY setup if needed. I was also thinking of some type of hardscape I could use, I have some peices of a paving slab I smashed up, but these are quite small peices, and I don't think it would look right in the volume of the tank. I'd be extremely gratefull if someone could make a photoshopped peice of art that would resemble a tank like mine.
