hi

i am interested in bredding these wonderfull creatures. can any body that knows or has experience of breeding tell me the process of raising them from eggs to juviniles

I can get them to breed prolifically but the young will not survive in a freshwater tank. The young need a brackish water and over time as they mature they revert back to freshwater. The young will die soon after birth in a freshwater tank. Try breeding cherry shrimps, the young live in freshwater.

i live in the midlands derbyshire to be precice and i cant seem to find cherrys which is annoying. are there any other breeds that would work in freshwater?

How many do you want -I'll deliver some to you for the right price.

i want about 10 but i dont know if my mum would let me :( . do you know of any places that sell them and are you on about posting them?

oh ok thanks for the offer. i shall have a phone round all the local pet stores and see if they have any. and ill check forum members

ive heard of people breeding them succseffuly in freshwater. ive decided im just gona get the shrimps. if they decide to breed ill take the zoes and place them in a smaller brackish tank

here you go hun here's an easy step by step guide on breeding them this is what i'm going to follow so good luck :)
with amano shrimp as long as you have perfect water then they should breed ok and you can get the zoes into fresh water - you can buy a salinity meter on ebay for about £5

if you look on google you might have a maidenhead aquatics near you if you have they will order cherrys for you and they can go in with the amanos

good luck Sarah xx
