Righteo think my Amano might be carrying eggs. Its back legs are really thick and dark and looks like loads of little balls intertwined in the legs. Is this like egg laying or something. What happens with them if she is. Lay them of do they hatch live form her? I have a freshwater tank so I know the boobals if they exist wont survive anyway. Well im sure the fish will eat them before they get a chance anyway. I was just wondering though.

I'm not totally sure, but I assume the shrimplets will hatch like with cherry shrimp, straight from the egg stuck to it's mum's underside. They won't survive though as Aaron says, they need to be raised in a brackish setup. On the bright side, they'll provide nourishing, natural food for your fish for a short time which is always good :)

Yeh I knew they wouldn't survive I was just wondering she was indeed pregnant. I guess she is then! Yeh im sure the fish will enjoy them! Hope mums not to distraught over it tho!
