Amano Shrimp

I have had many attempts at keeping amano shrimp but in the end they ALWAYS manage to jump out!!
Just yesterday I even found one in the Toilet! which is, very far for a shrimp to travel out of water!!

I have a net thing over the tank, but i guess that the holes are still abit too big.

I wonder how takashi amano does it, keeping them in his open top tanks.

edit by Toilet i meant bathroom... restroom, or WC... whatever u wanna call it.

The lighting on his (Amano's) tanks is so much that they dont want to go that way

hi we have perspex cut to size with 2 small sliding bits on top of our tank & our amano shrimps have been with us for nearly 3 years. we have 5 but we did lose one on the first night......found him half way to our kitchen on the floor crispy & dead in the morning, ( ), that was before we had the perspex lids on top & he obviously was NOT impressed with his new home. our lids do have small cutout areas at both back ends for pipes etc but so far no further escapees
