Amano shrimp was on the glass above the water ?

Curiously today I saw the shrimp clinging on the glass a good two centimetres above the water level!!


why and I'd like to know if its dangerous!

it probably panicked and jumped out of the water in an attempt to get away from something real or imagined. it's not the best for them if they are out of water but a few minutes isn't a big issue.

I have some ghost shrimp that like to swim up to the top of the tank and climb around in the floating hornwort- I figuer they are looking for fish food caught in it. Colin_T is probably right yours got scared and jumped.

If your shrimp stays there for long could be something in the water its trying to get away from, like copper or other heavy metal. If it was just for a moment probably like others said hes just having a looksy

LOL that's funny, something real or "imagined", what kind of imagination would such a creature have?

shrimp are terrified of being eaten by a fish or octopus. if something touches it at night when its dark, it would panic and try to get away.
