Fish Crazy
I have been monitoring my stats every day since setting up my new tank and transferring filter media/water/occupants into the new tank. I have been doing daily water changes, and my stats have constantly read good so earlier in the week I added more fish. Initially I my Nitrites went up to 0.25PPM but soon lowered and have been remained at 0PPM today, even so I carried out a 25% water change tonight, whilst doing it I found one of my cories dead in the Juwel filter, he must have got himself in and got stuck as he and an Albino cory used to hide under the filter in my old tank. If I had not suffered this mortality I would be happy buying 2 Rams on Monday providing my stats stay ok, I thought about putting a water change off for a week seing as my tank has taken to the influx of new inmates earlier in the week without much of a problem, but if I do buy the rams (there are only a few left and I don't want to end up with the bad apples of the bunch) I will be tempted to just moniter every day and only change before the week is out if I see any spiking.
Shall I wait and hope that the LFS doesn't sell out of Rams or only have weakly ones left or will I be ok to add?
On another note, I don't know if this has already been done but I have made a simple Word Doc for recording water stats. If anyone wants it PM me and you can have it. I find it easier to keep track of them and save the main template and use one sheet per month. I have re-jigged it with a bit of colour.
I will also be looking into making an interactive pocket PC program as my brother does a bit of software development and he can help me.
