did a stats chek 2day


ammonia 0
nitrite 0.1
nitrate 25

does this mean im cycled or coming to the end of a cycle becouse its a new tank and im a newbie hehe

How long has it been cycling for? Have you experienced amonia and nitrite spikes? If you you have once the nitrite drops to 0 you should be good to go :)
 
yes i have both have spiked and ammonia 0 and nitirites nw on thier way dwn very nearly 0 im in the middle of third week nw
 
how would i test tht becouse i didnt do a fishless one becouse i wasnt on this forums whn i bought all the stuff and the lfs whihc i dnt go to anymore gave me fish the next day so like i took some bk and kept the hardy small ones and he wudnt take the pleco bak so how can i test this 4ppm to 0ppm 12 hour thing if i have fish ??

ps before anyone mentions i kno im a prat for not doing a fishless cycle but it realli wasnt my fault i didnt no anything abt them !!

Don't worry, you're doing your very best, you've come on this forum and you're checking your water stats and the situation seems under control. The fact that there is no ammonia and very little nitrite suggests that the cycle is nearing its end. I would still wait a bit before adding more fish- that is, assuming you are not already fully stocked.
