Hi,
I have a 4ft community tank which includes, Mollies, Clown Loach, Siamese Algae Eaters etc. At the moment I am leaving the Algae to grow on the back wall of my tank. There is no Algae on the plants and I clean off the other 3 sides of the tank. Myself, I think that a thin coating of Algae on the back wall looks very natural. The fish also seem to love it as all the Algae eating fish are grazing off it, which also keeps it to a minimum. The question I have, is, am I heading for trouble by allowing the Algae to grow on one wall unchecked, except for by the fish. As I say, it isn't getting the chance to grow more a thin layer, but I don't want to end up putting my head in a noose because of this. Any views will be welcome.
Many thanks
Ian

lol, i think it looks messy.

It may also cause more algae spores present in the water thus causing more algae issues in the rest of the tank, possibly?

:)

I also have a black backing, so the Algae doesn't show up so much lol.
