I think im cycled.....

the nitrite colour is Pale Green.... i have tanned water so im lost...... in 10 1/2 hours my ammonia is 0 (Darker yellow due to tanning) and my NitrIte is pale green....

Should i do a water change and do another 12 hour test????

Thanks

How long has your tank been cycling for?
Are you using the API master test kit or a different brand?

Sorry Yes an API kit. I think i might have been cycled for a day or 2 not sure as i was confused by the green result

At the moment both look to be at 0% so would a water change be an issue to remove the tannins and then add some more ammonia and keep monitoring.

(Tannins should not rehappen as i took the wood out and soaked for about 3 days in Hot water.... )

Well what I meant was...how long has the tank been set up? heh

I guess the better question would have been...have you seen the Nitrites test show purple before and has it faded towards the green (blue) over the course of a week or so?

You can try doing a large water change and redose to see how well Ammonia and Nitrites are being taken care of. This would be the safest way. I'm not sure how long it takes for driftwood to stop leaching tannins altogether though...

Sorry... Tank is about 18 or so days. cycling and i have seen the nitrites go sky high and the ammonia takes well under the 10 hour mark (Not checked it exact)

will try a water change i think and see.....
