Am I About To Become A Step-mum?

My Mollie is behaving oddly! Last fortnight she hung around the filter (in between eating constantly), then I went on holiday and when I got back she was hanging around the heaterf (foraging for food on and off) now she's got her nose burried in the bananna lilly and is not moving except to chase of the occaisional Guppy, although she did move off for a bit for the Gourami but went straight back when he moved on.

Am I going to get fry sometime soon? How soon? How long does this take?

She also is not massive, she doesn't look like she swallowed a marble or anything, she's just fat!

Will my other tank inmates eat the fry? I have: a dwarf neon gourami, guppies, a bristle nose catfish, neon tetra and bumble bee goby.

Sounds like how one of my mollies behaved in the past right before she was about to deliver! She would try to chase off the rest and go dig her head into the corner with her tail up and head down. She would also sort of twitch about a little, and the other fish were trying to nip at her bottom! She was usually gigantic when she had babies, but once or twice we could hardly tell she was pregnant and they were fine..so just in case, I would get a breeding net or breeding tank and float it in their to isolate her. I'm not sure if those fish will eat her but watch her because she will most likely turn around and think "live food!". Mind did! Daddy always wanted a bite too. Let me know what happens!

My pregnant mollie is on the chase mode. She is constantly chasing the other mollies away and a couple of times rammed into the side of the new female mollie. Im begining to think she is real close now to having hers, she is getting even bigger!! Seems to be taking for ever though lol.

I hear ya! Just when I think mine is about to deliver, I put her into the breeding tank, and nothing. I've had her for about 2 weeks and she was huge when I bought her!

*sighs* no fry, and now she's behaving sort of normally again. Maybe I was hoping too hard!
