Okay, last night I had 11 guppy fry, when I got up this morning I could only see 2. I know these things happen, but I am still nevertheless gutted. I do have some questions though if anyone can help. Should I be feeding the pregnant females with Live food (does this make them go after the fry). How often should I feed them. However, I still have 4 females that are heavily pregnant, so if I have some more fry should I cut my losses and put the females back into the big tank, even though some of them may be pregnant. Please help!!! Also how can I tell if they have had all thie fry?

The female guppies will try to eat their fry regardless of what you feed them. You can feed them as often as you would otherwise. Guppies don't realy require any special treatment whilst pregnant but live or frozen/freeze-dried foods do them good. I would leave the females in the current tank until they have given birth. You'll know because they'll be substantialy thinner and you won't be able to see the fry's eyes in the gravid spot any more. To cut your losses, just add lots of plants (fake will do) and you should have plenty of survivors in the end. You can feed them powdered/crushed flake and they'll do fine. You may find that your females don't give birth to that many fry this time. They will produce more next time though so don't worry too much about the fry - you'll have plenty more in a month or two :)
