Alternate Cichlids

Alright, Iam geting my discus in about 2weeks, if it doesnt work out ( If i can keep up with WC, deaths ect...) what cichlids could I house comfortably in a 55 and if they spawn I could sell off some of the fry? Right now I like the look of servums but not sure if any lfs would take the fry or if they would fit, I know that some Angels will get a good price,But iam open to other suggestions.

No cons or dwarf species rams,keyholes ect....

I've heard that Jack dempseys can be bred in a 55g

There are LOTS of Africans you could breed in a 55 gallon... Most fetch a decent price and many are very easy to breed.

I think your best bet is to talk to your lfs and see witch cichlids they would buy off you, just remember they buy angels for like 10c and they also get a 2 day warrenty from there whoesaler. I would go for some fish that is more rare in the fish shops but just as cheap such as Parrot Cichlids or even Chocolate Cichlids.

Jack Dempseys will breed but they arnt worth very much Around here its about 3-5$ for a 2" fish

I find the bright yellow labs are always selling good in lfs and are farely easy to breed.

Ok thanks for the suggestions, Iam not just after some cichlids that I can breed and get a quick buck. Just if they did spawn I could sell some of the fry. Thats why I asked about servs wasnt sure if they would be of any vaule.
