Allergies to Bloodworms

I've never had a problem with allergies in my entire life (23 years old). I just got a Black Ghost Knife about a week and a half ago. A couple days after I got him my eyes started getting itchy and red. I figured it was unrelated, maybe pink eye. I went to the doc and he wasn't sure based on my symptoms. I'm starting to think that I might be allergic to the bloodworms (red mosquito larvae) that I am feeding the BGK. I'm trying to find out more about allergies to red mosquito larvae (RML) and have seen that there are people out there that are allergic to them. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows about the symptoms of an allergic reaction to RML.

-Still in my process to figure out what the hecks wrong with me.

bloodworm allergy is more common that people would think, avoid getting it on your skin, and if it happpens wash it off immediately.

thank you, i've been finding more and more on the internet and am starting to think that it is my symptoms cause.

I am very allergic to bloodworms, no matter what form they come in. I feed wearing masks and gloves and use tweezers. It helps, but I still have to take a couple benedryl before I feed.

hmm.....i have had really itchy eyes for the past week.... i figured maybe i had got some melafix in my eye by accident but it hasnt gone away and only anti allergy drops are helping. I feed bloodworm all the time and although I havnt noticed anything with my skin, i think i'll keep a closer eye on whan it happens...maybe its bloodworm affecting me too!
