Hi all,
My wife and I are looking to get a bigger tank and have come across the 330 ltr tank & cabinet @ all pond solutions. It seems like a great deal. We were wondering if anyone has bought one of these, the reviews sound great, but as we all know they can't always be trusted! I imagine the tank is fine but wondered what the filtration system is like and if it would be better to get an external one?

Thanks in advance

Colin

Hope this helps, sorry didn't think to post a link.

They're basically the same as AquaOne's Aquastyle tanks (I think they actually are the same, just re-branded and larger), the filtration on those is fine, but I preferred an external filter because the pump wasn't enough to get plant matter cleared. For low-plant tanks, the inbuilt filters were ok.

I've heard mixed reviews on the customer service, people waiting ages for their tank to arrive, lots of broken promises etc, I can't comment on the tank itself however.

Ok I see what you mean. Are they any good? As before can't see anything bad about them online.

There nothing like aqua one tanks from what i can tell. Aqua tanks have a good quailty build to them, the APS are fine for the money but there a thread on here which shows why there so cheap. There is sealent oozing from the joins the plastic trim looks ropy. lets be fair though for the money it a good buy but dont kid yourself in expecting a high end tank show tank. As a 1st big tank i would think perfect :good:

i have ordered plenty from the shop always had emalis back same day for any problems

Ive had terrible experiences with APS, i wont be rushing to use them ever again unless i have too.

Awful customer support and when you do get an email they will contradict everything they tell you regarding delivery.

They told me that my parcel was dispatched, 5 days later it apparently was sent back to them, so they dispatched it again, another week later it still hadnt arrived, i cancelled my order, no package ever arrived.

I have had great experiences with this company.

I bought direct from them, and not from the ebay store they had. Bought the 330 litre tank with cabinet for £350 i think it was.

The tank is BIG and heavy, but well built, the filtration system is good, but fiddly to fit as the instructions are not brilliant. The lighting unit is great with the power off individual switches. Stand is also perfect fit, but once again instrcutions are limited. Overall for the price you pay, its a real bargain mate, go for it, ill definatly be buying the 6footer next :)

I would be interested to know how you get on with the tank.

I have an external filter from All Pond Solutions the 1400 l/h with uv, I think its a Sun Sun Filter. It works fine but the plastic inserts are of poor quality and hard to remove because the handles dont work. The flip up lever which cuts off the flow to the pipes for when you open it up is a great idea, but it snapped off today!!! It was a bargain filter, I admit, but the build quality isnt that good. I have a spare Atman that I might be switching to soon.
