I have just bought4 firemouths which i love. When i was in the shop i told the guy what i had, and asked if they would be fine with the jewel. 'yes mate they should be great' he said. Well i have had to seperate the jewel in a bag(temperary) because he has stated dominence over the 4 fm's.

Can anyone tel me if they wiil eventually get on or will i have to re-locate the jewel?

My jewel is brilliant with all other fish in the tank. He ignores them completly.

You're adding something new to his tank... there's always a chance of aggression as they're coming into his territory. You should find that it dies down, but also be prepared for it not doing. If it comes to it, you could try bagging him, then re-arranging the tank, so it seems like he is starting somewhere new, but even then, I'd expect some bickering.

if i re-arrange the tank it would mean the lobster going through the whole process of doing it itself again. its lust got settled under most of my rocks.

I have him bagged inside the tank atm. Will he be alright in there till tomorrow, when i can even try an arrange the tank differently. Also if the fm's settle themselves will they stick up for themselves.

I would(if it comes to it) not even mind re-locating the jewel to the pet shop, as i rather lik the fm's.
