So it started two days ago when my favorite betta, Angus died. He was about 4 years old. I was treating him and his tank mate for ick with ick away medication. Angus died 2 days ago and his tankmate, cotton candy died today.

I did a 25% water change on my 120 gallon and refilled it adding API stress zyme? I've never used this kind of dechlor before but it said it removes chlorine and helps out biologically and with maintaining my tank. It was all the dechlor I had so I used it.

A few hours later I walked into my room and my common pleco was laying on my bed dead and all of my other fish were laying on the bottom of the tank dead.

My bumblebee catfish is still alive and showing no health problems what so ever. All of my other fish had no signs of illness they were just dead. I thought my oscar was dead too, but it seems one of his eyes are clouded up and he is now laying on the bottom of the sand breathing weird and doesn't look like he is going to make it.

What could have happened? The only thing I've done differently is use a different kind of dechlor. Please help...All of my fish are dead now. :-(

what are your current water stats? (Amm, Ni and Na)...

Amm-0
Ni-0
Na-10

My oscar's cloudiness in his eye is gone and he is swimming around slowly. I trid to feed him and he wasn't quite eager to eat but ate some flakes as they floated past him.

Everything seems fine in the tank now?

Stress zyme or stress coat? - the former isn't a dechlorinator!
Has anyone else used a fish bucket for anything?
You have my sympathy - I lost a breeding pair of discus years ago in similar circumstances - turned out my brother had used a fish bucket to mix windscreen wash for his car!

I used stress zyme. It says it gets rid of the chlorine in the water and is used to set up new aquariums.

Stress zyme is not a dechlorinator - the manufacturers site is here.
Everything seems a bit sudden for a chlorine killing filter bacteria scenario - I'd still suspect contamination.

Do you know your PH.. sounds like it could be a bad PH crash..

sorry for the losses :( that must have been a horrific thing to see

I don't have a ph testing kit right now but I put some stuff in there lastnight that makes the ph 7.0 and my oscar seems to be doing fine now.

Yea...I am really down about it. It's really depressing. :-(

For that many fish to die sounds like a chemical has gotten into the water, do a water change, increase aeration, how much stress zyme did you add.

I added the correct amount of stress zyme as it said to on the instructions. I just did another 25% water change today and added the ph buffer to make the ph at 7.0

My oscar seems to be fine and is swimming normally and eating well.

That's good news.

You could try calling your water company to see if the water treatment plant did anything different. -_-
