We are just about to get a 120L tank and would like some advice as to what hardware we should get and an idea of fish to stock it with? Also invertebrates, corals and the like? :dunno:

We took the route of a tropical tank to start with and decided not to attempt marine until we were confident with tropical and a year later we feel ready to take the plunge but would like some advice as to what we need to get!

Any advice greatly appreciated as we would like to get it right without undue stress or harm to any fish.

Thanking you in advance! :D

Check out all of the topics pinned to the top of the Marine and Reef Chat forum - there are several excellent articles there that pretty much cover at least the basics of your questions :) Once you read through those, feel free to ask other questions that may (and most likely, WILL) arise :)

Thanks for that! Have been looking through and decided that we needs to do lots of homework before we attempt anything!

Am going to see a friend today who has a big tank so will start talking to him first! :)

Definately read as much as you can, asling questions is great but it doesnt beat reading loads of books and articles imo

Just to update - we have decided to wait awhile and really do lots of homework before spending too much money and failing! Thanks for your advice and help! :D

WTG...I ordered my Nano Cube and it sat in the box for over a month...before that, I read Parker's thread and two books before opening. SW tanks deserve the time...you won't regret it. We're waiting for you when you're ready. SH
