Errmmm.... it's very.... pink  I can see the resemblance to your robot picture :D

Not a pink fan but I think it looks lovely and well done on keeping the gravel looking so good, my friend had pink gravel but within a month or two she had to take it out because it was looking grubby constantly.

love your tank and pink gravel , how do you keep the gravel so clean, i've orange gravel and it's starting to look grubby, do the snails help what sort are they as they look cool.

What's the stocking for it?

55 gallon; 2 rena xp2 filters:
10 x long-finned leopard danio
9 x rummynose tetra (actually fireheads)
6 x black rasbora
5 x january tetra
16 x red phantom tetra
1 x SAE
3 x Botia kubotai loaches
2 x oto
5 x amano shrimp
10 x horned nerite snail
5 x zebra nerite snail

how do you keep the gravel so clean

the snails help, and the loaches and the SAE help, but the real key is to vacuum the gravel during water changes. Vacuuming brings the cleaner pebbles up to the surface.
The other key is the amano shrimp - they move the gravel around when they're foraging so the the same surface isn't always facing up.

thanks everyone for the comments; i don't mind if you don't like the pink gravel :)

Love the nerite snails, tank is great...apart from the gravel :p.
But obviously that's a personal choice and at least it stands out :).

If I may ask, where did you get that many of the horned nerites? I cant 't find them in stock anywhere atm and love the look of the little things.

Mine came from planetinverts.com
I ordered 5 horned and 5 zebra nerites from them, and they threw in a bunch extra.

They're great apart from the fact that keeping tank conditions ideal for my fish means that the water is softer and more acidic than would be ideal for the snails. The poor snails have pits in their shells, and the "horns" tend to break off. They're very good algae eaters, though.

I really like your stocking. Ive never seen those types of Tetras before, they are really cool. I had Lemons mixed with bleeding hearts before and they always schooled together. Looks like yours stay in their seperate groups?

the blue fish you see aren't tetras, they're black rasboras.

I snapped that particular photo because they were in nice bunches like that, but that's not exactly typical.

The rasboras never go below the middle of the water column, and the red phantom tetras generally stay near the middle/bottom.

The rummynoses are good at schooling, and actually the schooling of the rummynoses tends to encourage others to school as well.

hello

never really thought id say this but i think the pink gravel looks really good the way its been set up.

good work

Good Colour

It matches the rummy nose tetra and red phantom nicely
